Marshalls in Africa

Here you can see our Kuunika boys sporting their new uniforms, arm in arm with pride in front of our OVC Care Center.
From left to right starting in back they are: Kevin Andrea (cpt), Frank Mattas, Grace Chisomo, Brighton Kapunda, Shadrick Ndege, Jaffon Dixon, James Lucius, Chisomo Faston, Mavuto Duncan, Chikondi Layo, and Brian Kovi.

This is Kevin Andrea, our team captain and striker. He’s a Standard 2 student and also one of the best academic performers in his class. He’s also a big help to the Kuunika Foundation staff in organizing our primary school chaps for meetings and announcements.

The Everton Foundation

On Thursday 20th May 2010 The Everton Foundation held its very own charity football match at Goodison Park. Bluekipper and Barclays took part in 2 football games on the famous hallowed turf. Running out to Z Cars, the teams were made up of fans who had raised sponsor money to be able to play in the game, plus 4 fans who had won an auction to play. Everton FA Cup winner, Matt Jackson showed the lads how to get changed like a professional, as did Graeme Stuart and Paul Lodge. An evening presentation also took place, with singing duo and comedian Mark Langley finishing the night off with great humour. Approx £7,000 was raised from Bluekipper alone which was match funded by Marshalls, so an overall total raised on the day came to £13,000. All monies raised goes straight back into community programmes, making them bigger and better.
Thank you Bluekipper and Marshalls FC for all the help, support and geneoristy and also making the day such a success.
